Gimme a break dude.
And if it is ICEnet, that's more CCP's problem than any of the subscribers.
It's out of CCP's control, and way out of the players' control, most businesses would try to make the customers happy...
But I should suspect such an attitude from an IT geek like yourself. I have to deal with *****s like you at work all the time, you IT guys are more in touch with your feminine side I guess...
You need to grow a pair because obviously you haven't yet reached the age where your brain would, at this point, be telling you to think before you speak... or type.
And yes, I'm an IT geek. Proud of it too, I make a nice living. Unfortunately, calling IT geeks ***, or *****s, generally isn't such a good idea. You see, without us, you'd be nowhere :) So insult what you want, just know that without one of those *** IT *****s around, you wouldn't have a job, no EVE, no Internet. No TV. No radio. And it's us IT geeks that fix your computer ****ups too...
Now on to your statement that it's more CCP's problem; it isn't. Network issues are hard to track down, and even harder to pin blame on a certain entity. The fact that at this point it seems that ICEnet is the culprit could still change, for all you know some script kiddies are having some fun, for all you know, a router just lost it's power, or memory, or is going bad. Unfortunately, those things aren't as easy to get as a Big Mac. There's a 5 day lead time before you can get anything in your hands and racked up.
So your attitude of "wah wah wah I am customer hear me moan" is so sorely out of place, it's fun in a strange way. And what, pray tell, would you do with your 50 cents once you get them? As pointed out, even if they comped a week, that'd be 3 whole dollars. Woop-te-doo. If you can't afford that, what are you doing playing EVE to begin with? CCP's done more than enough, they've most likely got staff actively trying to get things fixed, Oveur has told us what's going on, and you and some others are still making a scene about a lousy couple of bucks you want refunded because, hey, after all "wahhhh I am customer! Hear me b!tch".
Feh.
Hush now. I am a IT guy as well. If pings are failing at a hop in Iceland then CCP should be on the phone with that Telco. Is it CCP's fault? No, but if they don't do anything about then it does become their fault. If I recall this same telco has had problems in the past...
Oh, and Bhaal. Not all of us IT guys are jerks... |
